The GP is the omnidirectional antenna. The calculator takes into account the wire diameter of the monopole and radials. The wire diameter affects the shortening factor of both the quarter-wave vertical monopole and the counterpoises in the same way as in the case of a half-wave dipole. Calculations and measurements show that the length of radials should be 10...12% more than the length of the main element. For an input impedance of 50 ohms, the angle of inclination of the radials should be 42º. However, it is perfectly acceptable to make it 45º. The antenna does not require special matching and balancing networks and is connected directly to the 50 Ohm feeder.

Limitations and features of antenna calculations
The length of the pins must be made a little more than the calculated one for subsequent shortening when tuning the antenna. The site also provides a calculation of a half-wave vertical omnidirectional antenna, called the J-antenna.
A calculation similar to this calculator is available in the android app "Dipole Antennas Calculator", available on Google play. You can download it to your mobile device by clicking or by scanning the QR code. Don't forget to rate the app...
